Book Reviews
Ted Dekker - "The Priests' Graveyard" - Action, suspense, and the age-old battle between good and evil. Ted Dekker grips you with this one from the beginning. -LC
John Jakes - In this context, Jakes is particularly recognized for his American historical fiction. Among his mainstream novels are “The Kent and Crown Family Chronicles” and the “North and South” trilogy. They graphically detail our history from early exploration to post civil war. Jakes combines meticulous attention to historical accuracy with “page turning” dramatic detail. We have history with “ I couldn’t put it down” readability.“ -DH
The previous review of the
Jake's series concerning the Kent family neglected to account
for the eighth book. It takes the Gideon Kent family to the end of the 19th
century.
Again, Jakes delivers accurate history and a compelling story. DFH
James Patterson - "Toys" - He definitely takes off in a different direction with this book. Part sci-fi, part government conspiracy; it's not the murder mystery he usually writes. -LC
Nora Roberts - "Chasing Fire" - "Chasing Fire" is Nora Roberts at her best. Page turning action with a touch of romance. -LI
